Proverb By Rachel E Foster [link] |
After what Blogger tells me has been 100 posts on this blog for just over three years, I am hoping to re-purpose and refit this blog to be a collection of primarily personal posts.
My time at Taylor was filled to the brim in hopes, dreams, and plans that never transpired (and many that fortunately did), among them designs on writing a large blog post series, tying together various songs and movies with concepts of growth and mourning.
It feels good to say "No, it's over, it's done. I will not finish that. That time came and went a long time ago." Of course it helps that I seem to have misplaced my notes for the post series, though the vestigial posts remain (see: "Preface, pt. x" posts, etc.). I really do hope to someday share at least a couple more bits from things like my Italy trip, thoughts on the end of my time at Taylor...but for now, I have to be able to draw some lines to continue with this thing. The weight of the past clings fiercely upon my shoulders.
Look for a (very little, but very new) poem to show up on Tuesday. Thanks for sticking around.
