Hello? Welcome to OM Italia!
Where do I start? Finding words to justly represent how uniquely beautiful I find this place continues to be a great challenge.
View from Forterocca (an OM facility; more on it later) in Bobbio Pellice, a village west of Torre.
This morning I woke up with joy knowing what was soon coming--time alone. Time with myself, time with God, time to slow down and look back on an incredible week.
After work yesterday I was able to finally catch up on my daily work logs that are required for my practicum. They are currently serving as the closest thing I have to a journal; writing out everything I do in the logs, in my sketchbook, and on here seems it would be a bit redundant. With that said, I plan to post portions of my logs on here to give a closer view in to my work.
Street in Turino. See the mountains in the distance? I live there!
So what exactly am I doing?
Officially I am doing my Graphic Design Practicum for Taylor. I am serving under a supervisor at OM Italy's headquarters in an internship position. My projects can be broken down thus:- Design the new OM Italy prayer card (complete)
- Learn how to use Joomla, a Content Maneagement System (CMS)
- Assist in the redesign of the OM Italy web site
- Assist in the redesign of the Forterocca web site
- Travel with the other interns to Teen Street in Germany and assist in design for the daily newsletter
For now I just want to say that my time here has been excellent, and I am savoring every moment. More on the way.
The front gate again. Ciao!

i completely agree with the writing thing. 1. i'm writing stories for OM about my experiences for their newsletters and updates and stuff. 2. i'm blogging about it. 3. i'm keeping my own personal journal 4. i'm keeping a prayer journal about what's going on 5. i'm sending out e-mails to friends about stuff that's too personal for a blog. 6. i'm writing daily journals for my internship at taylor as well.
ReplyDeletetherefore, i feel like i'm writing about what i do everyday 6 times.
but hey, your experience will be amazing, i know it already is for you. It's so hard to describe in words, even for as many times as we're writing about them. can't wait to debrief with you at TeenStreet. it'll be nice to have someone from back home to talk to. i'm praying for you!
