An Air for Simple Breaks

Image courtesy Boston.com, or so I'm told.  Great Lego work.

Happy Inauguration Day!  Just a quick note here, my next post is mostly written but is in need of some revising.  Keeping fingers crossed, as I am hoping to really dive in to some thought and content for it successors--all to be a part of a larger series that I am thinking about calling "Strings and Color."  Could be interesting?  Could be interesting.

Currently I am a bit under fire from my Jterm history class and your eyes are scanning over some of the morsels produced in this (hopefully) fruitful break.  An earlier break consisted of watching the Inauguration itself.  Despite being full of all kinds of audio/mic problems and various other bloopers and missteps (including President Obama having some difficulty repeating his oath), the Inauguration was good to watch.  I was a fan of the John Williams arranged piece played by Yo-Yo Ma and others, titled "Air and Simple Gifts."  His grin was so infectuous!  I kept thinking back to times that he played on Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood.

A video of the "Air and Simple Gifts" performance (also linked above)

The Mr. Rogers visit video, also mentioned above

Hope to be back soon!  Time to get back to work.
